Esafety

Technology has become integral to the lives of children in today’s society, both within school and in their lives outside school.  The internet and other digital and information technologies are powerful tools, which open up new opportunities for everyone, however it has to be used with respect.  At Westfield Primary School, we are committed to ensuring all children are well informed of the risks they may face whilst online and that they can make the correct decisions to protect themselves in any situation whilst online. To help you at home, here are some resources that may assist you in keeping your child safe on the internet.

  • Westfield Primary School – Online Safety Advice
  • The  thinkuknow  website offers resources for children between 5 and 16 and also information for parent/carers.  There are games and videos for the children to play that will get them thinking about internet safety issues.
  • The  CEOP  website offers links to the Think U Know site as well as other information for parent/carers.  The Click CEOP button is a way to report inappropriate online behaviour.
